As I hope you will soon learn I am and always have been rather fond of the outdoors and all of its splendor. A lifelong Oregonian, born and raised in Eugene and educated at Oregon State University where I received a bachelors degree in Wildlife Science. My original dream was to become an oceanographer, following the footsteps of Jacques Cousteau, but somewhere along the way I became sidetracked with a career in law enforcement. After 27 years with the Oregon State Police I retired and decided to pursue one of my original interests - Nature Photography.
The wonders of this world never cease to amaze me. Whether it be spectacular scenery, a Harlequin Duck along the coast, a young child exploring life, the moon overhead, or even just the birds in my backyard. I am always hoping to capture the essence of the moment with a photograph. Nothing artificial, nothing staged, everything real. Hence, nature in its original format.
